Bass Point Reserve is a 72 hectare coastal reserve, and contains one of the few littoral rainforest areas in the Illawarra.

 The local Aboriginal people were using Bass Point as a regular campsite 17000 years ago. You can learn more about the history by doing the self guided Aboriginal Indigenous Cultural walk.

Your 1 1/2 hr kayak adventure starts at Killalea, with a safety briefing where you will be fitted with your life jacket (PFD) and given a rundown on correct paddle techniques.
The adventure continues as we make our way along the Minnamurra River and Rocklow Creek to explore the enchanting mangroves where you can observe various marine and bird life in their natural habitat or just marvel at the ethereal beauty that will cocoon you from the outside world.

Over night guests will stay in the beautiful Shellharbour Village. Your luggage will be transferred to your accommodation from the train station, and will be waiting on your arrival.

The ride along Warilla Beach to Windang Bridge is coastal riding at it's best. If the tide is right, lock the bikes up and go for a walk to Windang Island.

Don't feel like walking to the Island, no problem ...kick back and enjoy a refreshment and the view. Take the shoes off and paddle the feet in the crystal clear waters of the Lake Entrance.

Many of our tours will conclude at Oak Flats station. The ride along the lake is a favourite with bird lovers and the mountain backdrop is stunning.
